Banovallum School gets ‘Good’ Ofsted Rating

Two Ofsted inspectors visited Banovallum School for two days in March looking at the curriculum and safeguarding and we’re pleased to confirm the school has retained its ‘Good’ rating following this visit. 
 
The inspection report highlights that staff have a ‘clear vision for the school’ stating: “This is a school where staff want the best for all pupils. They are determined that pupils will success. They have put ambitious plans in place. They are helping pupils to know more and remember more. Staff and pupils are proud of the school.” 
 
The report recognises the progress the school has made and recognises the hard work of the staff, students and governors and the support of the parents over the last five years, some of which were very difficult for the school community.  
 
It also recognises the trust’s commitment to providing the very best education for the children attending school in Horncastle. 
 
All staff at Banovallum want the very best for every student and this was best illustrated by two comments from the report which said that staff and pupils are proud of the school and the school is a harmonious community. 
 
The Ofsted report also praised the school’s leadership and noted the school’s ‘ambitious and well planned’ curriculum and the comprehensive offer for pupils with special educational needs. Behaviour of the pupils was also highlighted as good in both the classroom and around the school buildings. 
 
Banovallum is a school where young people thrive and are supported to achieve their aspirations, and where staff can enjoy a range of development and career opportunities. 
 
We know that Banovallum is a good school, and it is a reflection of the staff and students’ hard work and dedication that the recent visit from Ofsted confirmed this to be the case. Well done to everyone involved!
